This Weekend in Hockey History-Hull Scores One of The Most Controversial Stanley Cup Goals Ever!

After triple overtime in the final game of the 1999 Stanley Cup, The Dallas Stars win the Cup against The Buffalo Sabres after two previous visits to the finals as the Minnesota North Stars. This win made history with a controversial winning goal!

Brett Hull chopped in the winning goal, beating the always fantastic Dominik Hasek, creating the celly that has been debated to this day. The Sabres contested that Hull's foot was in the crease when he scored the winning goal. The officials decide otherwise, and the goal stands.
